Robert Sukenik's Obituary
Robert Sukenik passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at the age of 80.
Born in Chicago in 1930, Robert grew up the middle child amongst three other brothers. Shortly after high school, Robert met his future wife of 53 years, Barbara Lefkowitz. Robert was a member of the National Guard and graduated from the University of Oklahoma.
In 1977, the Sukeniks moved to Redlands where Robert worked at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda as a pharmacist until his retirement. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, and is survived by his four children Debra (Philip) Aronoff of San Diego, Diana (Ray) Jurewicz of Pittsburgh, Juliette (Jerry) Taylor of Virginia, and Howard (Cheryl) Sukenik of Redlands, as well as his eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be held graveside, Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Home of Eternity cemetery in San Bernardino.
