Mr. Robert Oscar Fairchild's Obituary
Robert Oscar Fairchild, 85, of Cherry Valley went home to be with Jesus on February 25, 2015. Robert was born to Oscar and Lillian Fairchild on August 7, 1929 in Freeland, PA. He served in the U.S. Air Force and later worked for the County of San Bernardino for 20 years. Robert coached Little League for 15 years and loved camping and traveling. But most of all, he enjoyed gathering with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Glada Anne Fairchild, son, Gary Fairchild, daughter, Gail Gonzales (Fairchild), grandchildren, Shaynia and Ryan Vernon and one great grandson, Elijah Vernon. We will always remember his motto: Live, Laugh, Love.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church 1900 N. “D” St. San Bernardino, CA. Private Interment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery in San Bernardino, CA.
