ROBERT (BOB) C. CLARK's Obituary
Robert (Bob) C. Clark, Of Redlands, CA, passed away November 23, at the age of 88. Robert was born in Rosiclare, Illinois a small town on the banks of the Ohio River, he graduated from Rosiclare High school in 1939.
Robert migrated to San Bernardino, CA in 1942. He served in the Army Air Corp, and attained the rank of sergeant. He worked for the San Bernardino City Water Dept. for 32 years. In 1965 he founded Tapper Company, a pipeline plumbing company he owned for 25 years until he retired in 1990. Robert known to many as “Coach” was a founder with Actor Mark Harmon and others of the San Bernardino Spirit Baseball team now the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes; founder of Redlands First Centennial Bank; Charter member of California Speedway Club; Member of The Oldsmobile Club of America; Life member of Redlands American Legion Post #106; Life member of Veterans of Foreign wars post 6476 Colton, CA.
Robert loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and would always say, “The world needs more humor and laughter”.
He is survived by his daughter Jane Wood of Redlands; his son, Robin Clark of Highland; 3 granddaughters, Debbie Kepford of Redlands, Kathy Kepford of Loma Linda and Julie Kepford of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Robert will be laid to rest in Rosiclare, Illinois
