Robert "Bob" Carey Sr.'s Obituary
Robert “Bob” Curtis Carey Sr., 65, passed away on June 15, 2026, in San Bernardino, California.
Bob was born on September 6, 1960, to Frank “Bony” Carey and Elizabeth “Betty” Carey. A lifelong resident of the community, he graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1978 and spent most of his life in San Bernardino. During his career, Bob worked for the East Valley Water Department.
Bob will be remembered for his humor, stubborn spirit, and ability to make a friend wherever he went. He had an adventurous spirit and, in his younger years, became a certified master scuba diver. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and many cherished memories. He also enjoyed camping and exploring the Sierra Nevada mountains. A loyal Dodgers fan, Bob enjoyed sharing his love of baseball with both of his sons. He loved his dogs, and above all, he was especially proud of his sons, Robby and Ian.
He is survived by his son, Ian Carey; his soon-to-be granddaughter, Aria Carey; and his brothers, Thomas “Frankie” Carey and John Carey. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert “Robby” Carey Jr., and his parents, Frank “Bony” Carey and Elizabeth “Betty” Carey.
