Mr. Richard William Foust's Obituary
Richard William Foust, 59 passed away on March 22, 2013 at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Riverside California with his wife and many other loved ones near him. Rick was born in Riverside Ca. where he lived his entire life in this area.
Rick’s first date with his loving wife Vivian of 25 years was at the Speedway Raceway in San Bernardino California. Motorcycle racing was a passion shared by both Rick and Vivian. They were married on July 3, 1988 in Las Vegas Nevada. Rick (a sports enthusiast) was always so proud of his son Charlie’s own accomplishments and achievements with Baseball, and showing of Horses.
Along side his father, Rick worked for many years for Martins RV in Riverside Ca. before becoming a journeyman electrician for Thompsons Electric.
Rick will be remembered as a loving Husband, devoted father, amazing brother, and uncle to many nephews who wanted their crack at beating their uncle Rick in a round of Golf. Everyone who had the fortunate experience in playing golf with Rick knew that if you wanted any chance of beating him you had to join him (trash talking). Once you let Rick under your skin, there was no getting out. Oh yea, he did he have a knack like no one before him at getting under your skin. There was always a line formed by many to get a crack at beating their Uncle Rick at a game of golf.
In addition to the competitive wars shared with his nephews, Rick’s nieces always would say that they were his favorite. Ricks response to them was, “which one are you”.
All would agree that stories of being with Rick at Glamis and the memories they shared will never be forgotten.
Rick enjoyed boating, dirt bike riding, and water skiing. Rick also loved playing darts and shooting a game of pool. No one could argue that Rick was always the life of any party. Known as “Raider Rick” because of his love for the Raiders in good times or in bad, he never gave up on his team. Rick was also a huge Lakers Basketball fan.
Rick is survived by his wife Vivian, son Charlie, sister Jerra Lynn Huckins, brother Douglas Allen Foust, and sisters Sheryl Ann Jernigan, and Judith Lee Pollock. Rick is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
