Raymond Anthony Navarro's Obituary
Raymond A. Navarro Jr., was born on December 2, 1956 and went to his eternal home to be with his Lord on December 10, 2020.
Ray was first and foremost a servant of Jesus Christ. He was a beloved husband, brother and uncle and a true friend to so many. Ray is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his siblings Alice, Gerry, Levi, Jeannie and Diana. Ray truly loved me and his family, including his many nephews and nieces.
Ray was a former resident of San Bernardino and Riverside California. He earned his graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Riverside. Some of his accomplishments included: Director of Academic and Advising Services at California State University, San Bernardino; Founder, Academic Resiliency Fund; Founder, Dianna J. Pellitier Scholarship and the Sonador Graduate DREAMers Scholarship. Ray had been and thoroughly enjoyed being an E-bay.com seller for several years, and being a Community Advocate. He served two terms as Treasurer for Kiwanis of Greater San Bernardino. Ray was a man of deep devotion, dedication, and goodwill toward all men.
My beloved and I began our love story in 2000 when I asked Ray for a letter of recommendation. We met at IHOP because the electrical power was out on the school campus. It was then that I learned Ray loved Peach Cobbler a la mode, and he was very easy to talk with and supportive of my future. The following year Ray and I began to date, and in 2003 we were
married. My sweet husband was truly a gift from God to me. We both grew to love Jesus and spend time together serving Him. Ray had a loving and willing heart for church fellowship, family, and to be out in the Community. Ray met each task with a quiet and kind hearted
approach. We loved attending Dodger games, concerts, and taking road trips. Ray will be forever in my heart and is and will be deeply missed.
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
(Psalm 116:15, New Kings James Version)
