Ray Charles Imbriani's Obituary
Ray Charles Imbriani, 76, of Highland, California passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023.
Ray was born on May 5, 1947 at St Bernardine’s Hospital in San Bernardino, California to Robert and Eula Imbriani. He was the third child, having two older brothers (Robert and Roger) and two younger sisters (Pamela and Tonina). He grew up in San Bernardino, California, attending Urbita Elementary, Richardson Junior High, and San Bernardino High School-Class of 1965. He met the love of his life, Vicki Johnson, while attending SBHS. He would go on and marry his high school sweetheart in St. George, Utah on June 17, 1964, and remain married for 59 years until his death. Together they would have 3 sons, Richard, Jeffrey, and Stephen, who would be the biggest joys of their lives and their proudest accomplishments.
Ray served in the military as an Army Sergeant, serving in the Vietnam War. Following his return from service, he was in sales for most of his life. He was most known for his work through Roger’s Bindery, RichCo, SportsCo, and Blue Ribbon Sports.
Ray was a big supporter and gave back greatly to the community that he grew up and raised his family in. He was involved in Little League serving on the board as League President, Western Regionals as a sponsor of team Montana, Ken Hubbs Foundation as Director, 50+ years of coaching various community and high school sports, served on various community boards throughout the city of San Bernardino, ASA Charter School as chairman of board, The Voice of Cajon Basketball, and the “Get Back Coach” for the 1983 CIF Champion Cajon Football team.
Ray is preceded in death by Eula (mother), Robert (father), Pamela (sister), Dana (sister-in-law), Taylor (grandson), Deserae (neice), Bobby (nephew), and Roger (nephew).
He is survived by his wife Vicki Imbriani, sons, Richard (Saundra) Imbriani, Jeffrey (Kim) Imbriani, and Dr. Stephen (Trisha) Imbriani; grandchildren Macy (Cody) Smith, Jeffrey Imbriani, Carly (Serena) Imbriani, Sara Imbriani, Stephine Imbriani, Marina (Izzy) Chagolla, Aubrey (David) Visocky, Demi Imbriani, Jaron (Lauren) Imbriani, and Keeli Imbriani; great-grandchildren Cole Imbriani, Jeffrey Imbriani,Sophia Imbriani, AJ Imbriani, Ariah Chagolla, Savannah Chagolla, Elena Chagolla, Mateo,Santiago, and (soon to be)Adelyn Visocky; brothers, Robert “Dude” Imbriani and Roger Imbriani, sister, Tonina Cook, and several nieces,nephews, along with bonus family members.
Funeral Services will take place at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 11 at 11:00 am. Reception will follow from 1-4pm at Redlands Country Club, 1749 Garden St., Redlands, CA 92373.
Ray will be laid to rest with military honors on Monday August 14, 2023 at 11:15 am at Riverside National Cemetery.
