CARTER
Age 57, a longtime resident of
Highland, CA, entered eternal rest on
Friday, February 11,2022. She was
born August 9,1964 in San
Bernardino, CA to Jose Guadalupe.
and Maria De Jesus Ramirez. She
was the youngest of six children. She
attended elementary, and middle
school in East Highlands and Redlands, CA. She married
young and later earned her GED and certifications to work
in the healthcare field. Raquel worked at St. Bernardine
Medical Center for 21 years. She was Lead Technician for
Sterile Processing. She had close relationships with her
co-workers and always spoke highly of them.
As a child Raquel enjoyed playing the violin and playing
with her siblings. As an adult she was vibrant and
fun-loving. Raquel could fill a room with her energy. She
loved to travel and have adventures with her family. She
was a tremendously strong and independent woman with a
tender heart. She was hard-working, kind, compassionate,
and loving. She would help no matter the situation or her
condition. She was a devoted mother, grandmother,
daughter, and sister. Her greatest joy was her two
grandchildren, Isaac and Isabella. She was greatly loved
and leaves an unmeasurable void in the lives of all who
loved her.
Raquel leaves behind her son Jesse Loya, grandchildren,
Isaac and Isabella Loya, her father Jose G. Ramirez,
brothers David Ramirez (Kathleen), Fernando Ramirez,
sisters Beatrice Fernandez, Lupita R. Pisalyaput (Chai),
nephews and nieces and a host of other family members
and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother
Maria De Jesus Ramirez, brother Alfonso Ramirez, first
husband Jesse Loya and the love of her life, second
husband Jeff Carter.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 5,
2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-Day Saints, 640 S. Center St.. Redlands, CA 92373.
