in honor of Randolph.

Randy and I knew each other for 63 years. (That’s longer than Lois.) We met on the first day at college and had been friends ever since.

Over those years we shared many a joke, and when I got the e-mail I assumed it was another one, cleverly done. I read all the way to the third sentence waiting for the punch line. Then I realized it was for real. What a PUNCH.

Randy and I always had a friendly competition: golf, basketball, you name it. The only thing I could equal him at was the number of grandchildren.

My thoughts go out to all, especially Lois who I also knew since college and was honored to serve as best man at their wedding.
