PORTIA ANN CORNELL's Obituary
On Tuesday, October 20th, Portia Cornell Vallejo passed away after her nearly two-year battle with Ovarian Cancer. She is survived by her husband Blas Vallejo, her two daughters Portia Fischer and Louisa Cushman, their husbands Alvin and Stewart, and eight grandchildren, AJ, Janey, Grace, Charlie, Annie, Wyatt, Henry and Lucy.
Portia taught mathematics at the University of Redlands for over 30 years, having retired in June. She was an avid runner and completed numerous marathons including Los Angeles, Boston, and Big Sur. Portia was active in her church, The First Congregational United Church of Christ in San Bernardino, for her entire 66 years of life, where memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 28th, at 10:00 AM.
Interment to be held privately.
