Phyllis Loraine Stewart's Obituary
Phyllis, passed away at her home in San Bernardino, on December 29 at the age of 98. A true Californian, she was born in Ukiah CA on August 6, 1920. Phyllis attended elementary school in Redwood Valley and graduated from Ukiah High School in 1938. Relocating to southern California, she graduated from Santa Ana Community College in 1940. There she met and married her GI, Mike Stewart, in 1945.
They moved to San Bernardino over 70 years ago. Phyllis worked as Audiometrist for the San Bernardino School District.
She was an avid golfer into her 90’s. Phyllis was a member of the Redlands Country Club and the Arrowhead Country Club. Her home was filled with her prizes and acquisitions from her lifelong participation in golf competitions. Her highlight was her Hole in One on the 15th hole on the Arrowhead Country Club course May 30, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mike, her beloved Ed and her brothers Clarence, George and Bill. She is survived and missed by her nieces Holli, Julie, Judy and Susan and nephews Bobby and Lon. Sweet are our Memories of our dear Aunt Phyllis.
