Phil was that rarest of things: a truly good man. The word that comes to our minds is "committment"; Phil was devoted to his family, his church, and, most of all, his Saviour, Jesus Christ. Being with Phil always brought us closer to God, and we know he influenced countless people for the kingdom. Whether serving with the youth or working with wood, he did everything to the best of his ability and with integrity. He leaves behind a big hole, but Phil would be the first to say that whatever hole may be left should be filled with Christ.
