I knew him as Uncle Phillip. To me he was a big man, larger than life, always had a smile. Even though we didn’t stay in touch once I grew up, I thought of him often over the years thinking I would see him someday. But life gets busy, you have a family of your own and now grand kids. I’m so happy he was loved by people that knew him. He will be remebered for a very long time. He will be missed by all of us.

One of my fondest memories of my neighbor, Phil, was watching him create the perfect run for our children to toboggan on. The snow had finally stopped and there was Phil, with his push broom grooming the snow so the kids could enjoy themselves! I will miss seeing him when I travel back to the mountain. Lucy Sorensen
