Peggy Miller's Obituary
Peggy Miller, 93, of Highland, passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilmer R. Miller for 60 years.
Peggy was born in London, England, on November 20, 1924. She was the 2nd of seven children born to William and Rose Gladstone. Peggy served in the British Women's Land Army from 1943 to 1949 during World War II. She emigrated to the United States in 1953 and settled in Pennsylvania where she met her future husband Wilmer "Dutch" Miller. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 28, 1955, and returned to Pennsylvania in 1957. They eventually settled in Highland in 1964, where she cherished her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She also devoted time to the English Wives Club and English Tea Set.
Peggy is survived by her son Glenn (Lisa) Miller, daughters Sheree (Dale) Brose, Joni Miller, and Julie (David) Rybak; her grandchildren Danielle (Michael) Gonzales, Elise Brose, and Devin DeShane; her great-grandchildren Malakai and Genesis Gonzales; her sister Joan Tarrant of Australia, and brothers Ronald and Kenneth Gladstone of England.
Services will be held privately.
