Pedro Muga's Obituary
Pedro (Pete) Muga, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at his home in Highland, CA. He was born on August 1, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA. Pete is survived by his wife Beatrice, his sons Tony, Richard, Manuel, and Joe, and his daughter Patricia. He was preceded in death by his daughter Julia and his granddaughter Elizabeth. Pete had 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pete graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a bachelors degree in 1972, a master’s degree in 1979, as well as earning two teaching credentials at CSUSB. He served for 22 years in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force serving overseas in Germany, Japan, and Korea. After his military retirement, Pete taught in the San Bernardino City Unified School District in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He also worked for the San Bernardino County Probation Department as a group counselor at Juvenile Hall for 20 years. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel in San Bernardino followed by burial at the Riverside National Cemetery.
