Paula Marie Staff's Obituary
Paula Marie Staff, 83, passed away in Rancho Cucamonga on December 15, 2009. Originally from Atlantic City, NJ she grew up in New York City. She worked for the War Labor Board during WWII and was given recognition for her war effort. After the war she transferred to work for the Navy and was also a Nurse in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Paula worked as a counselor for abused and battered woman as well as alcohol and drug abuse. She worked extensively with veterans and was instrumental in establishing recovery homes for veterans and other men suffering from addiction.
She graduated from Cal State San Bernardino. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church; the Military Widows Club; Past President of the Norton Air Force Base Gold Star Women’s Club and Past President of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Yuma, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Wadsworth Staff I, and her son Jack Wadsworth Staff II.
She is survived by her children Paula O’Bar, Teresa Patterson, William Staff and Michael Staff, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
