PAUL LEONARD RICCIO's Obituary
Paul Riccio, 84, of San Bernardino, passed away on August 9, 2007 of congestive heart failure and kidney failure at Redlands Community Hospital. He was born in Coraopolis, PA; Jan. 16, 1923. Preceded in death by his brother, Fred. Paul is survived by his wife Ellie of 62 wonderful years, sons, Mark and Steve Riccio of San Bernardino, grandson, Morgan and Erika Riccio of Redlands, brother, James and Marilyn, many nieces and nephews. Paul moved to Pasadena in 1941, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a 1st Lt. in the Pacific Theater in WWII. After the war and college, he became interested in the insurance business and it ended up being his life’s work. Later, he moved his family to San Bernardino in 1962 and had his own insurance business. Later he went to work with Morgan and Franz Insurance Company. He enjoyed being involved with his sons in Cub Scouts, Indian Guides and Little League as a coach. Paul loved to RV with his family and friends, golf and ride his bike. The Good Life. A member of Elks Lodge #836 and active as an ambassador to Secure Horizons. He was also on the board of the Senior Olympics and a former member of the Arrowhead Country Club, Shipmates, Y’smens and Kiwanis. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA. with private interment at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Following the Memorial Services, a reception will be held at The Elks Club, 2055 Elks Club Dr., San Bernardino.
