Pauine P. Anchaels' Obituary
Pauline (Pat) Anchales, 97, passed away on February 27, 2012 at Summerford Place, Redlands, CA. She was born in Chicago, IL on July 2, 1914. She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Anchales, her husband William Falconer, her daughter Barbara Stavrinadis and her son, Charles Anchales.
She is survived by her daughter Bea (Gary) Pond of Sanford, FL, and her son George (Rhonda) of Angeles Oaks, CA. Also surviving her are four grandchildren; Nick Stavrinadis and his father, John Stavrinadis; Alysia Anchales-Merlo; Stacey Anchales and her mother Wilda Anchales; Tersara Anchales and niece Penny Evans. Pauline is also survived by two great-grandchildren; Jacob Merlo and Kaylee Merlo.
She was a long-time resident of Highland and was a member of the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church since 1953. She was past president of the Daughters of Penelope.
She will always be remembered for her love of life, her beautiful oil paintings and her loving touch that she brought to everything she did – her home and her delicious meals that she loved to cook for everyone. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.
Viewing will be Thursday, March 1, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the Trisagion at 5:00 p.m., at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2012; 11:00 a.m. at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 1035 Inland Center Drive, San Bernardino, CA. Interment will follow at Mt. View Memorial Park and Mortuary, 570 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino.
