Patricia Ann Mclaughlin's Obituary
Patricia Ann McLaughlin, 78, passed to everlasting life in heaven on August 29, 2011. Patricia devoted a lifetime of love to her family and also dedicated evangelism and prayers of healing for the sick and poor of spirit. She was born in Springfield, Illinois on April 17, 1933. She married her soul-mate and lifelong love, Rex, in 1955. Together they enjoyed a long beautiful life of love, family, faith, and many adventures. They raised six children and spent most of their lives living in California. Patricia is survived by her sons Christopher, Thomas (Diane), John, Joseph (Florence), and Patrick (Sherry). Also
surviving her are her nine (9) grandchildren and three (3) great grandchildren. Her husband Rex James and daughter Anne Theresa McLaughlin preceded her in death.
Patricia has always been artistic and successfully expressed herself in her painting and writing. She has authored stories and articles for all ages, some of which have been featured on pastoral radio programs. Her most notable life’s work in writing has been the publication of two beautiful books on healing in the spiritual ministry to the sick and poor of spirit; “The Jesus Walk” and “Rooted in Jesus- Healing the Family Tree”.
A Rosary will be held September 5th at 7pm and the Funeral Mass will be held September 6th at 10 am; both at St. Adelaide’s Catholic Church, Baseline Road, Highland, CA. Following this celebration of Patricia’s life, a graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn, 21300 East Via Verde, Covina.
