PATRICIA G. FISCHER
Age 96, of Highland, CA, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Highland, CA.
She is survived by her sons, David (Nancy), Thomas (Maria), daughters, Catherine, Rita (Michael), Karen, four grandchildren, Megan (Chris), Andrew (Heidi), Talise and Taylon, five great grandchildren, Jackson, Brockton, Ashlynne, Cameron, Landon. Preceded in death by Leroy J Fischer (2009) her loving husband of more than 50 years.
Pat joined the Bureau of Naval Personnel as a civil service employee in 1944, then later the Bureau of Ships until 1958 to start a family. After raising their five children, she returned to work for the Inspector General’s Office at Norton Air Force Base as an Administrative Officer retiring with 30 years of service.
She enjoyed her volunteer work at St. Bernardine’s Medical Center, primarily in the hospital gift shop but helped wherever Pink Ladies were needed. She served as Hospital Auxiliary President, was involved with many community projects and American Business Women Association, Highland Senior Center, Ladies Knight’s, Orange Empire Retired Officer’s Club and Salvation Army.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am., Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St. Adelaide Catholic Church, 27457 Baseline, Highland, CA with Reception to follow in the Hall. Committal Service at Riverside National Cemetery at 3PM, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside CA.
