I met Pat several years ago, as part of a women's friendship group that included several long time teachers and principals. Pat joined "Alice's Book Club", of which I am a member, a few years after that. This book club melded teachers and former County Behavioral Health employees with varying reading interests over the years. As a Book Club, we came to cherish Pat's recollections of her early rustic childhood experiences, and her love for Louis L'Amour books. The last book that Pat recommended to our Book Club was The Man With The Wooden Hat, by Jan Gardam. Pat was to have lead the discussion of this book at our September Book Club meeting. This book is about wisdom and perfection, regarding an English couple's marriage in the 1940's. Pat's broad intellectual interests and her sharing of early life experiences touched our Book Club.
Pat will be sorely missed by all, especially by our Book Club. Condolences to Pat's family on behalf of Alice's Book Club.##imported-begin##Michele DeCourten##imported-end##
As Pat was a prior principal and teacher, I was excited when Pat said she would be interested in being a volunteer for my 2nd grade classroom. For the entire 2011-2012, Pat was a valuable asset to my students and myself. She was patient with the students and wonderfully exact with the projects she completed for the classroom and for me. She will be especially remembered for the 60 paper "Flower Blooms" she created, each one unique and meticulously made. Pat saved me hours of work each week and helped me maintain my positive teacher attitude with my students. I will miss her contributions she would have made to the class this year as the wonderful teacher and class manager she was.##imported-begin##Mason Einhorn##imported-end##
Please accept my sincere condolences. I met Pat through our mutual book club and grew to know her as a thoughtful, lovely, intelligent, soft spoken lady. I will also remember her as a wonderful baker. While I rarely eat sweets, Pat could always tempt me with her wonderful blackberry cobbler. I will miss her.##imported-begin##Kathy Thomas##imported-end##

Dear Britt: I am so sorry you had to lose your mother, especially in this sudden and shocking way. Having lost my brother in this way, I know the emotions you must be struggling with
I have only known Pat a few years but she was wonderful woman and a good and loyal friend, and I know you must always have been very proud of her. She was a woman to admire in many ways. Pat's little group of lady friends is not going to be the same without her.
I know how important you were to her and how proud she was of you. I hope you will stay in touch with Pat's circle of friends and keep us up to date on how you are doing. I'm so relieved your father is here to help you get through this terrible time. Take care of yourself dear. Namaste!##imported-begin##Kathy Noehren##imported-end##
