Our prayers to Nova's family! Nova and I spent many hours talking about our Matlock-Boone ancestry via the phone! I loved her sense of humor and her quick wit. I wish I could have met her in person but know someday we will meet on those 'Streets of Gold.' She was very sweet and loving. I will miss our talks!! Nova was such a wonderful person. A second mother to those fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Our outings to the river were wonderful fun with great food that she cooked and many laughs. I met Nova through Bruce's Mom and they were such wonderful and caring friends to each other. Nova was so sweet to me and I always felt like she took me under her wing. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer nine years ago, she shared her experience and always gave me words of encouragement that everything would be fine. She also reminded me so much of my own mother with her special love for her family and home. She had the most beautiful smile and twinkle in her eyes and I will always keep her close in my heart. Oh how we love our Dear Ole Auntie,she taught me the meaning of showing your loved ones how much you love them through sending cards to acknowledge you and make you feel so special and loved by her, a lost art of today. I have saved her cards and I treasure them.
I wanted to share some words that she had said to me and I wrote them down because they were so important to me. In gerneral it was: I CERTAINLY BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST!
I WAS BAPTISED IN THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH! I BELIEVE SOMEHOW WE WILL ALL BE TOGETHER ONE DAY WITH A NEW BODY, A MIRACLE!!!
