Mr. Norman E. Parent's Obituary
Norman E. Parent passed away November 17, 2013 in Mission Viejo with his daughter by his side. Born in San Bernardino, Norm was a lifetime resident of the area. He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy aboard the USS Enterprise where he was a Radar Specialist 2nd Class. After the war he began working at Valley Auto supply where he retired from in 1990 after a 45 year career.
He married Catherine his first wife after the war and they raised their two children in San Bernardino. As a family they went to the cabin in the mountains and he supported his children with their quarter midget car racing.
He later married his second wife Jean who he shared his life with up until her passing.
Norm was a magnificent 'handy man' who could fix anything. He was very proud of his home, lawn and gardens.
He leaves to continue his legacy, his children Susan Hobby (Randy) of Foothill Ranch and Norman Jr. (Karen) of Redlands, first wife Catherine of Seal Beach, his grandchildren Petrina, Shannon, Michael, John, Paul, Ryan and Chad; his eight great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren
He will be sadly missed by his family.
Norm will be laid to rest privately.
