Norma Gregory's Obituary
Norma Ruth Gregory (nee White), 89, a longtime resident of San Bernardino County, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026 after
a courageous battle with Colorectal cancer. Norma was born in Granite City, Illinois, on January 12, 1937. She was the sixth of nine children born to Thomas Alfred and Clara White. She moved to Colton, California, with her family early in life and graduated from Colton High School. She married Richard Morley and settled in San Bernardino in 1955 where she lived in the same house for over 65 years.
Norma worked as a bookkeeper/office manager in the construction industry for more than 40 years. Prior to that, she was the secretary and preschool director at her church. She loved square-dancing and traveling to San Diego with friends and family, but the most important aspect of her life was her love for the Lord Jesus followed closely by her love for her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Her love for and generosity to her family was immeasurable. She was a social person who became friends with people everywhere she went. She was a faithful member of the Free Methodist Church in San Bernardino for many years and, for the past 30 years, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland, CA.
She is survived by her two children, Steven Morley (wife, Oonagh Morley) and Sandy Sailer (husband, Dave Sailer), 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her third child, Lorrie Garcia, predeceased her in 2009.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Norma on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Immanuel Baptist Church located at 28355 Base Line St. in Highland, CA. Refreshments will follow in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or Colorectal Cancer Alliance
