Ninabelle Busboom's Obituary
Ninabelle Busboom 91, passed away October 27, 2017 at home. Ninabelle was born in Meadow Grove, Nebraska on April 7, 1926 to Jack W. McKnight and Eva (Kohl) McKnight. Ninabelle is survived by her adoring daughter Jacquelyn (Richard) Lee Mullens, of Mesa, AZ and her devoted son Randy Busboom of San Bernardino, CA. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Betty McKnight of Calabasas, CA several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lee, and her older brother Harold.
Her future husband postponed their marriage in 1951 as Lee Busboom was recalled to active duty by the U.S. Air Force. They were subsequently joined in marriage at the First Methodist Church in Hastings, Nebraska on April 19, 1952.
Ninabelle graduated from Nebraska’s Wesleyan University with a bachelor of Arts and a Teaching Credential. She taught school in Nebraska and with the San Bernardino Unified School District for many years.
She was active in the “Phi Mu” sorority and the P.E.O. – Philanthropic Eduaction Organization.
Donations may go to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Bobbitt Memorial chapel at 5:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior at 5050 North Sierra Way, San Bernardino, CA at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14. Interment will be at the Riverside National Cemetery.
