Mrs Nadine Thompson's Obituary
Nadine Thompson, born June 22, 1914 in Laclede, Missouri the only child of Virda and Earl Needham, passed away November 7, 2012. At 98 years old, our wonderful Mother lived a life of happiness never taking medicines and rarely seeing a Dr.
She graduated from San Bernardino High School Class of 1933. Nadine and Harold (deceased) were married December 7, 1935, then lived a life raising 3 children, in between starting an Insurance Company and Thompson Lumber Yard in
San Bernardino. The ultimate Entrepreneur, Harold (HP) built homes in Barstow, CA and the outlying areas of San Bernardino.
Nadine and HP traveled the world over each and every highway with their Airstream Trailer, Wally Byam Caravans, and friends for 40 years; always meeting new friends along the way. Their summers in Oceanside brought many years of joy to them. Both Harold and Nadine also shared many fond memories and friendships over their 50 years of membership at Arrowhead Country Club.
Nadine enjoyed her weekly bridge games with lifelong friends in San Bernardino.
She had a passion for needle pointing and enjoyed baking breads for all her friends.
Her last 11 years she resided at Mission Commons in Redlands. She looked forward to her weekly visits by her children. Our family thanks the entire staff for their compassionate care of Mother.
Nadine is survived by her 3 children; Kay, Jim (Linda) and Bob (Pam), 5 Grandchildren (Brad, Melissa, Kyle, Stefanie, and Chad) and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
Cremation and services will be private. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Salvation Army or a charity of choice
