Minnie Mary Sakas' Obituary
Minnie Sakas, 91, passed away after a short illness August 2, 2006 in Redlands. She was born July 12, 1915 in Youngstown, Ohio. Minnie was a resident of Fontana for 63 years and a member St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister, Rosemary Easley and husband Bill of San Bernardino and their family, Stephen Easley, David Easley, Patti Rhodes, Susan Stewart, John Easley; sister in law, Mary Cunningham of Oceanside and her family, Annie Reed, Roberta Cunningham; niece, Teddie Smith; nephew, Johnny Lavanty and many other nieces and nephews. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Sakas in 1993. Vigil Service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel in San Bernardino. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17080 Arrow Blvd. in Fontana. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington.
