MILDRED ISABEL ELDER-MARTIN's Obituary
Mildred Isabel Elder-Martin, was born in 1913 in Beaumont, California to Leland Jackson Elder and Helen Mildred Luce (Wescott) Elder. She died May 27, 2007 at age of 93. She was a resident of San Bernardino for 67 years. Her work included many years of volunteer church service in the San Bernardino First Church of the Nazarene of which she was a member for 67 years. During that time she served as the local church treasurer for 49 years and held the office of Southern California District Missionary Treasurer for many years. It was her joy to serve the Lord here on earth. Her creativity shined bright in everything that she undertook. She was a lover of laughter, a writer, and a friend to many people of many ages, and an expert dressmaker. Her only child, Lelola Isabel Martin Bruch, preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by a brother, Wayne Elder of Atwater, California, a granddaughter, Kathryn Isabel Conklin of San Diego, a grandson, Matthew Conklin of Quail Valley, four great-granddaughters, Jeanne LaRee Harper, Katherine Lora Quirk, Kelsey Saundra Quirk and Kellsy Mariah Russell, and one great-great grandson, Joey Harper. Services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, CA. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaumont, California.
