Mrs. Mildred Marie Eckstein's Obituary
Mildred, 97, passed away January 9, 2015 at the Villas of San Bernardino, following a lengthy illness. She was born May 14, 1917 in Massillon, OH, to Per Lee and Ruth Jordy.
Millie met the love of her life, Robert, at Massillon High School, and they married on November 25, 1939. They moved to Riverside, CA, upon Bob’s discharge from the U.S. Navy, and then settled in San Bernardino where they lived until his death in April, 1993. She was an amazing housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing the organ and corresponding with family and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Robert Lee Eckstein.
She is survived by her only daughter, Linda (Adolfo) Porras, of Fontana, CA; grandsons David (Cherie) Porras, of Peoria, AZ; Christopher (Cheryl) Porras, of Centennial, CO; granddaughter Ashley Grim of Highland, CA and Alyssa Porras and her daughter, Ella, of Lake Havassu, AZ; grandsons Christian and Cole Porras, of Centennial, CO; nephew William (Shirley) Jordy, of Canton, OH; niece, Shirley Jordy of Carrollton, OH.
The family will hold a private memorial service in February. She is now at peace with her loving husband, Bob, in heaven, and will be laid to rest at the Riverside National Cemetery.
