Michael Timothy Callis' Obituary
Michael Callis of San Bernardino, CA, 81, passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones nearby on Friday, March 8, 2024.
Michael was born April 15, 1942, to Timothy and Virginia Callis of Fontana, CA. He was the oldest of three to his sister Cheryl and brother Steve.
He worked as an Architectural draftsman before enlisting in the United States Navy and became a Naval Seebee. Upon his discharge he transferred to the Naval Reserves.
Michael worked at Kaiser Steel as a Millwright in Fontana, CA for just under 20 years. At the closing of Kaiser Steel, he continued to work as a Millwright with Alumax and Sierra Aluminum.
He retired in 2008 to enjoy his pastime of hunting and fishing but most of all, quality time with his beloved family (and dog, Candi).
Michael was survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynn Callis. Three children and their spouses; Shawn Callis and his wife Donna Callis, Jeffery Callis and his wife Wendy Callis, and Tawnie Spicer and her significant other Jeffrey Mittman and 8 grandchildren; Jeffrey, Logan, Wyatt, Sierra, Trenton, Landen, Makenzie, and Kylee
