Mary Ann Vincent's Obituary
Mary Ann Vincent, 79, of San Bernardino, CA, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 after unexpected heart complications.
Mary Ann was born on June 12, 1943 to Velma and Samuel Payton in Riverside, CA. After graduating from San Bernardino High School in 1961, she went on to study education at San Bernardino Valley College before completing her bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University. She later earned a master’s degree and administrative credential at the University of Redlands.
She married Robert Vincent on July 8, 1967 and had two children, Danielle and Derek.
Mary Ann was an educator for 44 years. Early in her career, she taught in both Chula Vista, CA and El Centro, CA before serving the San Bernardino City Unified School District at California (Salinas) Elementary for 40 years.
Mary Ann was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in San Bernardino. In addition, she was a member of the California Retired Teachers Association, enjoyed knitting and volunteered her time as a member of the San Bernardino Symphony Guild.
Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Robert, sister Kristine Langley, children, Danielle and Kyle Griffith and Derek and Patricia Vincent along with 5 grandchildren.
