Mrs Elaine Barrett's Obituary
Mary ‘Elaine’ Barrett, 88, passed away on October 7, 2012 in Carlsbad, CA with her family by her side. Elaine was born in San Bernardino, and graduated from San Bernardino High School and UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelors Degree in Education. During WWII she worked at the San Bernardino Bomb Plant where she was a ‘tester’! She went on to teach at Henry Elementary in Rialto where she taught for many years. She met and married the love of her life Robert Barrett 1946. They had two sons Greg and Jeffrey. Upon her retirement from teaching Elaine moved with Robert to San Diego County.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Barrett who passed in 1999.
She is survived by Robert, her husband of 66 years. Also surviving her are her son Greg (wife Jennine) Barrett of Riverside, and her grandchildren Sarah (husband Alfonso) Pena of Coachella, Robert Barrett and William Barrett both of Riverside, two great grandchildren Kaila Pena and Aubrey Pena her Nephew, Larry (wife Kris) Rowe, Niece, Becky Rowe-Tapia, Great nieces and nephews: Lori Rowe-Marrs, Tami Rowe-Buck, Nicole Rowe, Cece Rowe-Haffey, Erin Rowe, Madison Rowe, Jaime Tapia, Ruben Tapia, and many great, great nieces and nephews.
