Mrs. Marvel Jeannette Ollson-Demmelmaier's Obituary
Marvel Ollson Demmelmaier, 88, passed away on September 23, 2012 in Fontana, CA. Marvel was affectionately called "Red" and was known for her bright blue eyes and compassionate personality.
Marvel had been nurse since 1946 retiring in 1989. She first worked at St. Bernardine Hospital and then went to work at Kaiser Clinic in San Bernardino, CA until her retirement.
She was a long time member of Order of the Eastern Star (Arrowhead/Gate City chapter). She was Worthy Matron for a total of 4 years and in 1996 she was both Worthy Matron and Deputy Grand Matron. She and her family were charter members (1951) of Highland Lutheran Church.
She was proceeded in death by husbands Claude Ollson of 38 years and Ray Demmelmaier of 9 years.
Surviving her are daughter Pam Firestone (Tom) of Yucaipa, son Larry Ollson (Susan) of Redlands, daughter Sandy Chandler (Rich) of Running Springs. Granddaughter Stacy Averhart (Ray) of Redlands, grandson Jesse Chandler of Running Springs and great-granddaughter Samantha Averhart of Redlands,
She will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial Services will be held on October 5, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Spirit of Hope Church (Highland Avenue Lutheran Church), 1820 E. Highland Avenue, San Bernardino.
Marvel was laid to rest at Mt View Cemetery in a private service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Marvel’s memory to Spirit of Hope Church.
