Mark Kraig Penner's Obituary
Mark was born on April 3, 1958 in Topeka, Kansas to Marlene J (Voran) Penner and Rupert E. Penner. He was their first child.
Mark loved to find out how everything worked. He also enjoyed his new brothers and sister when they arrived.
Mark loved to read. Before he even started school, he began reading. When he would wake up before everyone else, he would pull a book out from under his pillow and read until it was time to get up for breakfast. This became a lifetime hobby. He kept the books he really liked in a special room and would often read them again.
He began his early education in the Whittier CA school system and then Jr. High and High School in Upland, CA, graduating in 1976. Being very interested in computers, he went on to CSU, Cal Poly Pomona to complete a degree in Computer Science.
Upon graduation in 1980, he got a job with Chino Valley Unified School District as a computer Analyst where he stayed until his retirement in 2018.
Mark liked to be sure that the computer programs he worked with would always be up to current state codes and produce accurate results.
During these years, he also enjoyed meeting with his friends on Friday evenings to share snacks and play table games.
He was also involved each year with the Renaissance Faire. he also hiked through the Grand Canyon with so me family an friends.
He loved entertaining his nieces and nephew as well as children of his friends. They all will remember how much they enjoyed their time with him.
Mark enjoyed going to baseball games and had plans to travel the USA to attend games in all of the large stadiums. This plan was sadly cut short due to severe health issues which continued to get worse.
His faith in God had grown remarkably over the past few years and it is good to know that we can all reunite with him some day.
