Marilyn Rayfiield Talbott's Obituary
Lifelong San Bernardino resident Marilyn Rayfield Talbott passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 19, 2011. Marilyn was born in San Bernardino in 1930 to parents Rita and George Rayfield. She attended SBHS and graduated from the University of Oregon. She met her husband of 57 years, Don Talbott, aboard the S.S. Lurline cruise to Hawaii in celebration of her college graduation.
Marilyn adored spending time on the golf course and in the clubhouse at the Arrowhead Country Club, having seaside weekends at her beloved family home on Balboa Island, and hostessing memorable parties for countless holidays and special occasions. Massie’s fun loving spirit, warm heart, gift for hospitality and love for family and friends will live on in the fond memories of many.
She is survived by her husband Don, her adoring sons Mark and Mike, daughters in law Pam and Cindy, grandchildren Brian, Garrett, Krista, Nathan and Jack, sister Dodie Epperheimer and niece and nephew Wendy Harkins and Peter Epperheimer.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E. Highland Ave. S.B. CA 92404 with a gathering to follow at Arrowhead Country Club 3433 Parkside Dr. S.B. 92404. Donations in Marilyn’s name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Inland Empire Chapter at jdrfinlandempire.com.
