Marie Vanouse's Obituary
MARIE VANOUSE, 96, of Highland, CA, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2011 in Redlands, CA, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of San Bernardino for over 75 years, where she and her husband operated ‘Gene Vanouse TV and Electronics’ until 1980. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years and many other community organizations.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Gene.
She is survived by her daughters Vivienne Plimley (Fred) of Yucaipa, CA and Marienne Hamilton (John) of Orange, CA. Also surviving her are four grandchildren, Ronald Plimley, Fred Plimley, Mark Hamilton and Dara (Hamilton) Brown, six great grandchildren, her niece and nephew.
Pastor Ron Faux of Yucaipa will officiate at a memorial service on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino. Also officiating will be the Eastern Star, Gate City Chapter No. 212 of San Bernardino. A luncheon will follow at Bobbitt’s. Graveside services will be held at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, CA at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children and the Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star Benevolent Fund.
