MARGARET EVELYN SPILLER's Obituary
Margaret E. Spiller, a resident of Redlands since 1964, died at Redlands Community Hospital on March 12. She was born on September 17, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa, where she attended grade school and graduated from East High School. She received her nursing degree from Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. During her career she specialized in geriatric and home care nursing, and retired from the Jerry Pettis Memorial VA Hospital in 1982. She was 83. She was a member of the Amethyst Bible Church and American Legion Post 106 Auxiliary in Redlands. For several years she and her husband were involved in a clown ministry, as Mugget and Zo-Zo. Survivors include husband of 59 years, M. Timothy Spiller of Redlands; son, Steven Spiller of Redlands, daughters Kristine Smith of Visalia and Martha Kelley of Milwaukie, Oregon; brother John Swan of Des Moines, Iowa; and five grandchildren. Private burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
