Margaret (Magi) Ellen Shattuck McKague
Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother
Magi was born September 10, 1925 in Beaver, Kansas. She passed away August 8, 2010 at the age of 84. Magi graduated from Centennial High School in Pueblo, CO and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She married James F. McKague, her Sigma Chi sweetheart, on June 15, 1947.
Margaret was a military wife. Her husband Jim was a USAF pilot. The tours of duty led them to many different bases including overseas assignments in Japan, England and France. In 1976, after Jim’s retirement, Jim and Magi opened Magi’s Puttery which served the Highland and San Bernardino areas for 27 years, finally closing its doors in 2004.
Magi is survived by her loving husband and best friend Jim McKague, five children: Gayle Adams (Greeley, CO) Kirby McKague (Visalia, CA), Kathy Krause
(Beaumont, CA), Scott McKague (San Bernardino, CA) and Mona Roberg, (Highland, CA); 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grand children.
A memorial service will be on Monday August 16th 2010 at 10:00 AM held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Redlands 419 S 4th St., Redlands, CA 92373.
Interment at the Riverside National Cemetery will be Private
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America 7 Mill Brook Rd., Wilton, NH 03086-9517
