Margaret Lorene Dickenson's Obituary
Margaret was born in Hemet, California and passed away at The Villas at San Bernardino at the age of 93. She was married to Arnold Henry Dickenson for 60 years and they were separated by Arnold’s death on February 9, 2006. They had two sons, Larry Dickenson (wife Patricia) of Highland, California and Glen Dickenson (wife Susan) of La Verne, California. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Michele Arvidson, Don Dickenson, Jeff Dickenson, Brian Dickenson and Ryan Dickenson and thirteen great grandchildren. Margaret loved her family very much.
Margaret worked as a nurse at Crestview Convalescent Hospital and in the office of Dr. Cecil M. Day in Rialto. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rialto where she served as historian and record keeper for over 50 years. She was known for her hand knitted Christmas socks and embroidered quilts which numbered in the hundreds. Other hobbies included reading, NASCAR, charting the Indy 500, stamp collecting and photo albums.
Margaret was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Trumpy of Hemet and her younger brother, John Taschner of Albuquerque, NM.
A service and reception will be held at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 East Highland Avenue, San Bernardino on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 3:00 PM. There will be a private burial. Memorial donations may be made to Hope Lutheran School, 1041 East Foothill, Glendora, CA, 91741, attention Brenda Nguyen.
