MARGARET - ALVARO's Obituary
Margaret Alvaro, 103, born on November 3, 1904 in Italy, came to America in 1913. She had lived in Pennsylvania until moving to Highland in 1960. Her husband, Vincent, passed away in 1984, and a daughter, Ellen Seymour, died in 1986. She is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Kamphans and Mary Chisholm of Highland and Rita Mikridge of Oceanside; a son, Anthony of Michigan; a sister, Mildred Scapilliti of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A vigil will be held Wednesday, September 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue. She was a member of St. Adelaide Catholic Church and a mass will be held there Thursday, September 4, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, 412 E. Vanderbilt Way, San Bernardino, CA 92408.
