Manuel F. Guzman's Obituary
Manuel F. Guzman, “Coach Guz” 73, a San Bernardino resident for over 50 years passed away at his home in Calimesa May 11, 2008.
Manuel was an Art Teacher for La Sierra High School for 26 years. He was also a wrestling coach, defensive back football coach, and coached track and field. Coach Guz started the wrestling program at La Sierra HS and also taught and coached wrestling at Honokaa High School, and Konawaena High School on the big island of Hawaii. Manuel was a Black Belt – Shorin Ryu and a member of the International Karate League.
Manuel is survived by his wife Jonell Guzman of 16 years; daughter, Donna Guzman of Oregon; son, Alan Guzman of Montana; step-daughter, Lori Blonn of Seattle, WA; step-son, Jeffrey Blonn of Burbank, CA; and four grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 19th 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, CA with a committal service at Riverside National Cemetery to follow.
