LYNNE CHAPIN RUMPF's Obituary
Lynne C. Rumpf, 65, a life-long Elvis fan, “left the building,” peacefully and without pain on Tuesday, August 6 after a valiant fight against breast and brain cancer.
Born in Atlantic City, NJ to John A. and Marjorie C. Morgan, Lynne was raised in Glendale, CA, attended Glendale H.S., Glendale Community College and graduated with a BA in Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
She moved to Highland, CA 36 years ago with her first husband, Maj. David C. Rumpf, USAF and raised her two children, Morgan A. Rumpf and Lauren M. Rumpf. Lynne was an educator in the S.B. City Unified middle schools for 24 years, first as a teacher and later as a vice-principal after receiving an MA from CSUSB in 1988.
In addition to her first husband and children, Lynne is survived by her second husband Glen M. Peltzman, her three brothers John, Mike and David Morgan and her beloved granddaughter, Emma Lynne Rumpf-Snavely.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Adelaide’s Catholic Church in Highland on Tuesday, August 12 at 2:30 PM.
