LOUISE DEAN's Obituary
Louise Dean, 87, a resident of Highland for 47 years, passed away, August 7, 2007. She worked for Sages Markets in General Merchandising and valued her first job as a military wife and mother of 3. She was a devoted member of the Norton Alumni Association, Palm Meadows Ladies Golf Club, Norton Officers’ Wives Club, Orange Empire Military Officers’ Club and the Highland Senior Center. She was a volunteer for Santa Claus, Inc. and the Red Cross and was an award winning Toastmistress. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed many creative hobbies, including painting, sewing, crocheting and projects to make people smile. Louise was preceded in death in 2005, by Lt. Col. Charles Dean, her husband of 63 years. Survivors include: a son, Roger Dean of Seattle, WA; two daughters Cheryl Astrachan of Thousand Oaks and Judi Berlin of Rancho Bernardo; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue. Internment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery.
