Loretta E. Webb's Obituary
Loretta Evelyn Webb was born in Freeport, NY on March 24, 1923 where she attended elementary and secondary schools. She graduated High School in 1942 and worked briefly as a production worker for a local Defense Plant before attending a local secretarial school. She met her husband, Harold, at a USO Dance when he was stationed in New York. They were married in a military chapel on September 18,1948. They celebrated 37 wonderful years together before his passing in 1985. Married to a military serviceman, Loretta was very good at moving on short notice. She rarely spent more than three years in one place up until the time of Harold's retirement in 1985. She held various jobs having worked as a bank teller, security guard, and a secretary. She eventually retired from the San Bernardino Public School System as a secretary in 1995. She was an avid bowler during her healthier years and a life member of the Eastern Star. She regularly attended Judson Baptist Church and United Methodist Churches in San Bernardino. Loretta resided in San Bernarino from 1972 to 2000 at which time she moved to Virginia and Pennsylvania to be closer to her children . Her last residence was a skilled Nursing Facility at Menno Haven in Chambersburg, PA until her passing on March 1, 2013.
