Lora Lynn Mark's Obituary
Lora Mark, born on April 7, 1970, entered the loving arms of Jesus on July 9, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Lora lived a life marked by compassion, love, and a radiant smile that made others feel seen and cherished.
Lora leaves behind her beloved husband, Michael Mark; her cherished son, Aaron and daughter Veronica. She is also survived by her father, Richard (Opal) Monsma, her sister, Michele (Craig) Wilson; her twin sister, Lynda (Doug) McCready; her brother, RJ (Staycie) Monsma; and her father-in-law, Jim Mark, her sister-in-law Dana (David) Phillips, many nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marcia Monsma and mother-in-law Pam Mark.
Known for her beautiful smile, servant heart, and unwavering love for Jesus and others, Lora consistently put others before herself. Her home was a place of happiness and love. She loved hosting gatherings and her hospitality flowed naturally and generously.
In 2025, Lora experienced the miracle of surviving a cardiac arrest — a moment that reshaped her life and deepened her gratitude for each new day. With courage and determination, she embraced cardiac rehab, supported by the steadfast love of her family. Though she ultimately succumbed to heart failure, Lora’s journey was marked by faith, resilience, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone she encountered.
Lora shared the love of the Lord openly, reminding others that “the joy of the Lord is my strength.” Her legacy is one of faith lived out loud, kindness poured out freely, and love given without hesitation. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her impact will continue in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
A service honoring Lora’s life and faith will take place on July 29, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Baptist Church, where family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the joy she brought into the world.
Those wishing to send flowers may direct them to Immanuel Baptist Church (Chapel), 28355 Baseline Street, Highland, CA 92346. The family suggests the flowers be perennials for a memorial garden they will be building at their home.
A few of Lora’s favorite charities are Southeast Christian Church in Louisville Kentucky and Redlands Christian Schools.
