Lester Gilbert Gray's Obituary
Lester G. Gray passed away October 21, 2011, at 93 years young. Lester, a loving husband was married to Mary Gray for 64 years and is now reunited with his beloved in eternity. Lester was born in Redwood Falls, Minnesota and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years along with being a World War II Veteran. Lester then retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier after 12 years. Lester was a member of St. Frances Episcopal Church, San Bernardino Elks Lodge #836; and Air Force Sergeants Association. Lester loved life & lived it to the fullest including daily walks, swims, and camping trips; along with being an avid bowler bowling twice a week. Lester loved his family and left a legacy that will be hard to fill. Lester’s surviving family members will miss him dearly; including his 4 children/spouses; Maryann/Ken Hammond, Susan/Edward Foxworth, Gilbert/Mary Gray, and Janet/David Finley, along with 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St Frances Episcopal Church, 2855 Sterling Avenue, San Bernardino. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery.
