LAUREL JOAN BARKER's Obituary
Laurel Barker passed away late Saturday, February 9th at Redlands Community Hospital surrounded by her family. Laurel was the fifth child born to her parents, Gladys and Marion Hoover on August 27th 1929. Laurel was raised in Rialto, California and graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1947. Laurel Served in the United States Navy as a Wave, where she met her husband Jimmy Lee Barker. They traveled extensively throughout the world during their Navy careers. Later Laurel continued her love of travel with her travel club in Shelton, Washington where she lived for many years. Laurel is fondly remembered by her family and friends as a strong and independent woman who had the gift of humor. She is survived by her niece, Cheryl Roesch-Patchen (Ken), her grand niece Diana Roesch-Toohey, her grand nephews, Eric M Roesch, Jacob R Roesch (Ahna), Randy Roesch II, her great grand nephew, Wesley R Roesch, and her friend and caregiver, Linda Murillo.
