Kristina Dee Poorbaugh's Obituary
Kristina Dee Poorbaugh
August 7, 1966 to September 15, 2024
It is is great sadness we express the passing of Kristina “Krissy” Poorbaugh.
Kristina Dee was born on August 7th 1966 in San Bernardino California, to her two loving parents Ben and Etta. As a child she enjoyed many things, and was a joy to everyone around her. She participated in the Rainbow Girls and excelled in this organization which taught her leadership and important skills for young girls.
In 1989 Kristina had her daughter, Ashlee and started her journey as a mother. Later in 1993, she welcomed her son Daniel into the world and completed her small family.
Kristina spent the majority of her adult life working as a surgical scrub nurse in various hospitals and clinics.
Later in life Kristina became a grandmother, and this was where you could truly see her shine. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and would tell anyone who asked just how lucky she was to have them. Her favorite memories were the summer vacations when they would come to visit and she could spend time with them in the pool, at the movies always with some popcorn or candy.
Kristina loved the ocean, dolphins and sea creatures were never far from the decor on her walls or trinkets she kept. Spending time at the beach with her toes in the sand was a favorite past time. She loved camping with her fiancée Jimmy, who was the love of her life. The two would spend time doing what they loved, concerts, comedy shows or just a dinner date. Anyone who knew Kris would say her smile was infectious, and her genuine love for life and those around her shined.
Kristina passed away suddenly at home on September 15, 2024. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sylvester Benjamin and Miriam Vernell, and her father Sylvester Benjamin (Ben). She is survived by her mother Etta Mae, her fiancée Jimmy Garcia, her daughter Ashlee, son Daniel (Felicite), grandchildren Vera, Dylan and Aubrie, her beloved dog Abee, as well as many friends and relatives.
