I remember Kate very well. She was my first love. I remember our going to the prom; she was a junior, I was a senior. She was wonderful, full of life, joyous. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing.

I met Katie so many years ago. I have been doing her hair or over 20 years after my boss Shirley Thomas retired. We shared so many stories of her family and mine. We shared books, and she was the best movie critic. She would let me come over to her home and see her decorations for Halloween and Christmas. Her decorations were over the top. I have pictures of them on my phone. She was always so thoughtful and caring. She would always bring me a gift for any holiday. She love going to Hawaii with her sister and she loved her facials and Brazalian blowouts. She loved to give me Brand new money when she paid. The last few years she was dealing with her parents health and was happy that she retired and it made it easier to make the trip to Arizona to see them. Now she can give them hugs as they welcome her home. Love you Katie and will miss your smile. Your friend always. Dolores

I went through junior high, high school and L.V.N. school with Kate. She had such a great personality and infectious smile! I didn't see her very often after nursing school but whenever I went to the credit union she always remembered me and made a point of talking to me. So very sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family. Michele Kilgore
I met Katie because of her husband Andrew. Andy was my brother's best friend and I knew Katie because of that friendship. She came to our wedding and was a faithful family friend to all of us. She exuded happiness and warmth. Her infectious smile and laughter was a blessing to all that knew her. Heartfelt sympathy to her children and family. She will be so dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your friends and family...God speed Katie...hug Andrew for us . Love you , Marcia Slater-Calvert
I have known Kate since we were in 5th grade at Arrowhead Elementary together. I am truly sadden by this passing. She was a wonderful lady with a smile that could light up any room.
