JUNE KENNEDY's Obituary
June Kennedy, 86, a resident of San Bernardino for 60 years, passed away January 2, 2007 in Loma Linda. June was born in Spokane, WA. On June 20, 1920, and was the second daughter of Newton and Blanche Colver. She was raised in Milwaukee, WI and attended George Washington University, where she met and married John Kennedy in 1937. After WWII, she moved with her husband and young family first to Los Angeles and then to San Bernardino in 1947. June worked for many years in her family’s public accounting firm, and also spent 10 years as a secretary for the County of San Bernardino. She completed her undergraduate degree from University of Redlands in 1977. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and a dedicated lifetime member of PEO. She was a skilled pianist, sang alto in her church choir for many years, and was a talented amateur painter. June is survived by her four sons: John of Laguna Beach, David of San Bernardino, James of Victorville, Donald of Rancho Cucamonga; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Above all, June’s life was an example of how all of us should love our children – without conditions and without limits. A memorial service will be held to remember her life on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 1900 N. ‘D’ Street, San Bernardino.
